Israel Machine Vision Conference 2011
Date:
January
19 2011 - 8:00am - 6:00pm Location
IMVC
is an image processing and computer
vision annual conference. The participants are leading companies and
academic
researchers from these fields. The conference creates a great opportunity for
information sharing.
At the conference, we will present advanced tools for analysis and visualization of scientific 3D data as well as some powerful tools for interactive image processing. MATLAB users may find a lot of interest in the environment that is going to be presented, which allows developing MATLAB code as well as analyzing multi-dimensional data from within a strong and convenient graphical analysis user interface. Avizo is a 3D analysis software for a wide range of domains including materials engineering, medical imaging, earth sciences and simulation. The direct bridge between Avizo and MATLAB makes Avizo a very powerful environment for developing algorithms and data processing on MATLAB. In addition we will present the software development kit Open Inventor that includes more than 1300 classes for a fast development of multi-dimensional graphics, ultimately utilizing the power of OpenGL and the GPU. In addition we will present the ability to utilize the architecture of nVidia's processors in Open Inventor for achieving high performance of rendering and algorithms. Avizo seminar day at Weizmann Institute of Science Date Location
Avizo is a powerful, multifaceted software for
visualizing, manipulating, and understanding scientific and industrial data.
The seminar is open and intended for researchers from the academy and the industry who work with the imaging software Avizo, as well as for researchers from the imaging domain who find interest in Avizo. During the seminar, the software developers will present the latest releases in the field of visualization and analysis of multi-dimensional data from a wide range of disciplines, including materials engineering, medical imaging, earth sciences, climate research and fluid simulation. The direct bridge between Avizo and MATLAB creates for MATLAB's users a powerful graphical environment for algorithms development and data processing. In addition the software includes an abundant structured library of image processing tools that can be added to the capabilities of the MATLAB tool box. The seminar will include a hands-on training for efficient use of Avizo from beginners to advanced users. Likewise time will also be devoted to responding specifically to research needs in using Avizo that will be raised by the participants.
